This is a cute story and I would definitely recommend to friends who have a little older kids then my son who is 22 months. This book was a little long and hard to keep my sons attention.
She is a caring queen and all of her subjects matter to her whether they are beast or human. She has a very special song to save them all.
Love of a little girl/ Princess Charleston for animals, and what she does to protect her animal friends. Try it.
Princess Charleston of the Isle of Palms is a lovely read with beautiful illustrations. My child loved it and for those reasons alone, 5 stars.
I enjoyed reading this story and the pictures were wonderful. This book shows how many people don't want to make sure that the beaches are kept clean and what could happen because of it. This book shows what even one child can do to make it better.
This is an ideal bed time story for little ones to send them off to sleep thinking about important issues. The author highlights the importance of being responsible, admitting to mistakes and doing what we can to correct them. In addition, the importance of looking after the environment is highlighted. Children are taught that other creatures suffer when we unthinkingly do irresponsible things. I particularly liked this aspect of creating environmental awareness in young children.
A very cute story with pretty illustrations teaching children an important environmental lesson regarding our beaches & oceans. After spending a week at the beach during the 4th of July, I was disgusted to see all the trash left on the beach after many fireworks had been shot. Not only debris from the fireworks, but uncessary trash such as bottles, cans, bags, and other items. Our family picked up a LOT of trash the next morning. Sadly, much of it was already washing into the ocean with the incoming tide. My little girl will love seeing this lesson she's already learning in story form.
